An independent DVC volunteer community

A little wild.
A lot to love.

Campus-rescued cats are finding their way toward safe, loving homes with help from DVC students, faculty, staff, and neighbors.

Our first cat introductions are on the way. Foster intake is being prepared.

Find your little companion

Every cat has a story.

Each introduction will share a cat’s personality, what home may suit them, and the care information we know.

Coming soon

First introductions are growing.

We’re preparing photos and thoughtful profiles. Check back to meet the cats when their stories are ready.

Adoption interest submissions are not open yet.

From campus to companion

A thoughtful first hello.

When profiles open, an adoption starts with a conversation about the cat, your household, and a care plan everyone understands.

  1. 01

    Find a spark.

Read a cat’s story and share your interest. An inquiry begins a conversation; it does not reserve a cat.

  2. 02

    Get acquainted.

Talk with the foster team about personality, routines, your household, and the cat’s needs.

  3. 03

    Prepare together.

Confirm veterinary care, responsibilities, and the suggested adoption donation before homecoming.

Care, clearly explained

A good home starts with good information.

Some cats may still be awaiting an examination, vaccinations, or spay/neuter. Every profile will say what care is reported complete, what is pending, and what remains unknown.

Suggested adoption donation

50

The suggested donation is $50 per adoption. It helps support the cats’ care. Before an adoption is agreed, the foster team and adopter will confirm care already received, care still needed, and who will arrange and cover any remaining costs.

An adoption donation is discussed during the matching process; no payment is collected on this site.

Help the whole community

Give the cats a stronger start.

We’re arranging a secure external donation service for people who want to support foster care beyond an adoption. Before a link goes live, we’ll clearly identify the faculty volunteer receiving the funds, how contributions will be used, and the payment service.

Online giving is being set up No donation link is active yet.

For our foster community

Help their story find a home.

DVC students, faculty, and staff can submit a foster cat for coordinator review. Share the cat’s story and care status, plus a private contact email. Keep personal contact details and home addresses out of public profile text.

The form belongs to DVC Cat Community. It will open when private submission storage is connected.
